Structure
The practical programme is designed to give
you a thorough understanding of all aspects of starting a
new life abroad, while consistently improving your level of
English. You will attend regular morning sessions each day,
participate in afternoon activities and be able to join an
online discussion forum.
The programme begins with a briefing day. After
registration and a welcome meeting the students will be given
an opportunity to meet their teachers and fellow classmates.
Once students have been placed in their class all sessions
will be conducted in these peer groups.
Each day you will attend sessions aimed at improving listening
and speaking skills with regular reading and writing exercises
to ensure a thorough grasp of the language and comprehensive
development.
A key feature of the programme is the constant
face-to-face contact between the teacher and the student for
the whole learning process. We believe only through continuous
interaction on a personal level, with a high level of personal
support and practise in real life situations, that you can
achieve significant results.
Culturally based activities will be held continuously
throughout the entire programme. This will give students a
chance to practise the skills that they have developed on
the programme and to improve cultural awareness. Activities,
lead by native English speakers, will be held in a fun and
relaxed environment. They range from cultural movies and music
to pursuits outside the centre like rock climbing and picnics.
There is also an opportunity to join our online discussion
group with additional tips and advice.

Self-assessment and feedback
|
The teacher will give feedback and discuss
your progress. Students will also be encouraged to monitor
their own progress through self-assessment. Self -assessment
is integral to raising your awareness of your own performance
and development. Students will complete weekly personal assessments
of their achievements, and free time will be given with a
view to discussing personal learning and development needs
with the teacher.

Assessment and certification |
At the end of the programme an assessment exercise
will be held by the school to ensure the successful outcome
of the programme and to give students an idea of their language
skills development. A graduation and certification ceremony
will be held on the final day of the programme.
