Modern Training - CHINESE COURSE - REAL CHINA IMMERSION

i. Overview
During this four week programme you will experience, first hand, the many and varied delights of the middle kingdom. You will embark on an intensive programme of language study over the first two weeks, in order to prepare you for Real China. You will learn the essential language skills that you need for daily communication in Chinese, and also try your hand at traditional Chinese crafts such as paper cutting, cooking, calligraphy and Chinese painting. In the second phase of the programme, you will join us on our 12-day trip through China. You will take in the sights of scenic Guilin with its towering limestone karsts and paddy fields, ancient Xian to gaze in awe at immense army of terracotta warriors, guards of Emporer Qin’s tomb for over 2000 years, and the majestic capital of Beijing to explore the Forbidden City and gorge yourself on Beijing Duck after walking The Great Wall. The trip will come to an end in cosmopolitan Shanghai, with it’s excellent restaurants, pulsating nightlife, and glitzy shopping malls. Don’t forget to catch a performance of the famous Shanghai Acrobats!

*A welcome and farewell dinner will be held on the first Monday and the last Friday evening of the programme. All expenses are included in the Real China Immersion Programme fee.

iv. Travel China Add-on
After immersing yourself in the language it’s time to meet Real China. With our travel add-on you will join us on our 12-day travel to famous sights throughout China.

Note: Transportation between and within the different destinations, accommodation in 4 star hotels, breakfast throughout the trip, one lunch on the boat from Guilin to Yangshuo, admission fees, local English speaking guides and a Chinese-speaking foreigner, who will accompany you throughout the trip are included in the Real China programme fee. The fee does not include food expenses!

Just opposite of our center, the newly built Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing is a 48-storey tower, located in the heart of the business and entertainment district just opposite our centre. The Ming Tombs and famous Confucius Temple, two major attractions of the region, are located within 10 km of the hotel. Each room is equipped with internet access, air-conditioning, satellite TV, DDD, IDD, private bathroom with a bathtub, fridge, in-room safe, personal service as well as other modern facilities. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Full use of all hotel facilities, including swimming pool and gym.
Accommodation starts the day before the programme (Sunday) and ends on the day when leaving for the 12-day trip around China. Extra nights accommodation are subject to availability. To avoid expenses for extra nights, please schedule your arrival on Sundays.

Participants are guaranteed accommodation; however, early application is advised as accommodation is subject to availability.

vi. Airport pickup
We understand how difficult it can be finding your way when you first arrive in a new country. Because of this, we offer a free pick-up service from Shanghai Pudong Airport. In order to arrange it please send us a fax or email, no later than 10 days before your arrival, to advise us of your flight details: date, time of arrival, airline, flight number, and place of departure.

vii. Orientation
To help you make a smooth transition into Real China an orientation meeting will be held on the Sunday evening, before the start of the programme. You will be given a welcome pack, which will contain a detailed schedule of the next four weeks of the programme and useful information about Nanjing – where to go, how to get there, what to do, where to eat, what to eat and so on.

viii. Application, enrollment and payment process
i. Application

Application fee: 50 USD non-refundable (see Payment)
Within 1 day of receiving the complete application we will send a confirmation that you have a reserved placement in the program. Mt will send an enrollment form by email to you.

ii. Enrollment
Complete the Enrollment Form and pay the Programme Fees (see Payment below) before the enrollment deadline. Please read mt's Real China Immersion Programme terms and conditions before enrollment.
Fax or e-Mail the Enrollment Form and bank receipt for paid program fees to mt’s Office.
Early Enrollment is strongly advised to take into account the time needed for visa processing by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate.

iii. Payment

ix. Visa
If you are currently residing in Mainland China already, please make sure that your visa and passport are current and up-to-date. If you are NOT currently residing in Mainland China, a one-time entry tourist visa will be sufficient for the duration of the program.

x. Medical insurance
If you are planning to travel abroad, you need insurance and it is not something you should be sorting at the last minute. Insurance is not included in the Real China Immersion Programme fees, so we do require that you purchase a medical and accidental insurance on your own before coming out to China. Modern Training will not be responsible for any injury or loss whatsoever occurred to you during your stay in China.

Real China Immersion Programme Fee covers: core language classes, 2 individual after class tutoring, cultural activities, free city guided tours, weekend trips, 5-star accommodation, full-board while in Nanjing, a welcome and a farewell dinner, 24-hour Internet access, free access to gym and swimming pool, 12-day tour around China, airport pick-up and orientation
