| Why Learn English?
Today English is spoken in many countries
across the world, and is often the language of communication
at international conferences. When someone from China
speaks to someone from Sudan which language do they
speak? Most likely, English. English is an international
language of business and although more people may well
speak Chinese as their native tongue, more people speak
English as a second language. But conducting international
business is not the only reason to learn English. Resources
on the Internet are also predominantly in English, and
so being able to understand and communicate in English
can open up access to a wider range of informative websites.
Last but not least, by speaking English, you can meet
and communicate with more foreigners from other countries
and enhance you cultural awareness, as well as make
friends.
